Our Wedding

Our Story

Our story began in the fall of 2022 at Ole Miss, where fate placed us in the same classroom. We barely spoke, just two strangers in a class full of people. It wasn’t until late spring of the following year that we reconnected as friends through sports—which, if you know us, is no surprise. A few months later, I transferred to Virginia Tech, while Banks closely followed by transferring to Appalachian State to play baseball and stay as close as he could to me—though he kept that detail to himself at the time. After some patience and persistence on his part, our relationship blossomed beyond friendship. From the start, our bond was natural, easy, and filled with laughter, as if we’d known each other forever. The long drives, late-night phone calls, and supporting each other from the stands became our new normal. When it came time to choose where to say “I do,” we wanted somewhere that felt like ours. We stumbled upon West Virginia, only to realize how perfect it was. My parents were born and raised in Wheeling, and much of my family still calls West Virginia home. Banks’ dad’s side, the Tolley family, is from southern West Virginia, near Beckley. Without even trying, we chose the ideal place to bring our story full circle—honoring our roots while starting this new chapter together.

For men, this typically means a tuxedo with a black formal bowtie, black shoes, and a white dress shirt. A nice, dark colored suit is also suitable. For women, dark-colored formal evening gown or a dark, sophisticated longer cocktail dress is appropriate.

Please note the ceremony and reception are not within the same building. Please consider brining a jacket for the three minute shuttle between the two venues!

Tuxedo Rentals

The Greenbrier offers a Ralph Lauren tuxedo rental service (about $200, including alterations). If you’d like to rent a tuxedo, please notify The Greenbrier when booking so they can reserve a fitting and accommodate your needs.

Please be aware that ride-share services (Uber, Lyft, etc.), can be limited as the town of White Sulphur Springs is very small. If we have enough people booking at The Schoolhouse Hotel who will be needing rides, we will likely get a shuttle to and from The Greenbrier.

The Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB) is located 13 miles from the Greenbrier. The Greenbrier offers complimentary shuttle service for most flights arriving at Greenbrier Valley Airport (LWB). Please contact the resort in advance to confirm availability and reserve seats.

The Roanoke Airport is about 90 minutes from the Greenbrier and could serve as an alternative option for some. ROA is a larger airport with more flight options than the Lewisburg airport.

The Greenbrier offers a variety of dining options, including Prime 44 West Steakhouse, The Forum for Italian cuisine, and the Main Dining Room. For a more casual vibe, enjoy the Pizza Shoppe, In Fusion, or Draper's Café. Please note most restaurants will require a reservation!

For bourbon lovers, Café Carleton offers tastings with a view overlooking the Casino. JJ’s Sports Lounge, located off Prime 44 West offers a more sporty, yet classy vibe.
